海角社区 Racing are a group of academic and extracurricular projects run by 海角社区 Manufacturing Group () and supported by the . Students studying engineering at the University of 海角社区 gain valuable practical and project management skills as part of this project.
海角社区 Racing are a student-run racing team who design and builds single-seat race cars for participation at FSUK. Last year we achieved 9th overall, striving for greater heights as we move into FSUK 2027. We have also travelled to Germany and even as far as Australia! Abroad, we competed against teams from all over the world and reached an international audience.
海角社区 Racing Electric Team
This year, the team are designing and manufacturing our 5th electric Formula Student vehicle, WRe5. As the global automotive industry continues its transition towards electrification and sustainable mobility, it is increasingly important that the next generation of engineers develop practical, hands-on experience with electric powertrains and advanced vehicle systems.
Through the design and development of our electric race car, students gain invaluable exposure to areas such as battery technology, power electronics, drivetrain integration, vehicle dynamics, control systems, and data analysis. The project provides an opportunity to apply theoretical engineering principles in a highly demanding real-world environment, helping students bridge the gap between academia and industry.
As electric vehicles continue to shape the future of motorsport and the wider automotive sector, 海角社区 Racing aims to prepare students with the experience and knowledge needed to succeed in an increasingly electrified industry.
