º£½ÇÉçÇø Horizon Europe Seed Fund 2026-27
The º£½ÇÉçÇø Horizon Europe Seed Fund has been set up to encourage and support º£½ÇÉçÇø academics and researchers to engage with Horizon Europe, the world's largest Research and Innovation programme. This is in the context of the UK becoming associated to Horizon Europe in January 2024, making UK entities eligible to be funded directly by the European Commission and to lead projects as coordinators
StateUp and º£½ÇÉçÇø are co-hosting the inaugural Ponti Summit at the º£½ÇÉçÇø Venice Centre, Palazzo Lolin, on Friday 2 October.
The closed-door summit focuses on the convergence of AI, Quantum and supercomputing, and their applications in strategic sectors for resilient economies and societies: energy, science, infrastructure, and security. The Summit aims to build new collaborative projects and alliances between leaders from major UK, Italian, and broader European research institutions, technology firms, investors, and senior policy delegates.
Confirmed participants include Ambassador Stephen Hickey CBE (UK Ambassador to Italy) and FCDO colleagues, Prof. Andrea Ferrari (Co-founder, CamGraPhic), Alessandra Poggiani (Director General, CINECA), and Prof Mark Parsons (Director, EPCC). º£½ÇÉçÇø's presence includes Dr. Paolo Turrini (co-convenor), Professor Gihan Mudalige, Professor Andreas Kyprianou, and Dr. Matthias Caro.
