The Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) is delighted to announce an outstanding set of results in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2026. PAIS has been ranked among the top two Russell Group Politics departments for the eleventh year in a row, including eight years at No. 1. Within this success PAIS continues to excel internationally ranking among the world’s top 50 Politics departments and reinforcing its position as a leading centre for political research and education.

Özlem Atikcan wins Monash �� Alliance Grant for Modern Slavery Research

Özlem Atikcan and Charles Crabtree (Monash University) have been awarded a Monash-�� Alliance Research Activation Fund grant for The Frame-Effect Gap. The project examines how human rights organisations frame modern slavery and whether these narratives influence public support for anti-slavery policies in the UK and Australia.
