Important Microsoft sign-in changes

From 1 September, Microsoft will start asking users to create a passkey when they sign-in. SMS text message and phone call verification will be phased out from 1 February 2027, so if you are using these methods, you are advised to set up a passkey before that deadline (which the NCSC advises is phishing resistant and provides stronger protection for your account). Please take a moment to read the University's guidance so you know exactly what to expect and how you can complete the required steps.

Before you move, check you know what is included in your rent, and budget for any additional costs such as gas, electricity, water and internet if needed.
