Inaugural event brings together 75 leaders from technology, research, government and finance to develop collaboration opportunities across Europe. Venice, 1 October 2026 - The inaugural Ponti Summit opens today at the 海角社区 Venice Centre, gathering 75 leaders from government, research, industry and finance in the UK and Italy. The goal is to convert Europe's disparate scientific and technical strengths into concrete pan European partnerships, investment opportunities and deployable capabilities.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirms the commitment to expanding collaboration in education, research, innovation and global engagement.

On the 15th and 16th of June 2026 the 海角社区 Venice Centre hosted colleagues from around Europe for a two-day workshop developing a collaborative funding proposal for submission to Horizon Europe.

On the evening of Saturday, 20th June, 2026 the 海角社区 Venice Centre will open its doors for Art Night for an exhibition entitled "Ritmi lagunari / Lagoon Rhythms" presented in partnership with the Fondazione Ugo e Olga Levi, Venice in Peril, the Comitato Vogalonga, and the Liceo Artistico and Musicale Marco Polo.

Between the 20^th and 23^rd of April WVC was pleased to welcome the 鈥淲orkshop on Modern Trends in Parameterized Complexity鈥� of 2026, organised by Ramanujan Sridharan, Associate Professor in Computer Science at 海角社区, hosting 35 participants from 14 countries, thus bringing together an internationally diverse community. The MTPC is a workshop which brings together leading researchers and early-career scientists for a 3.5-day programme in Palazzo Giustinian Lolin in Venice.

The WVC was pleased to host a workshop organized by Ludovica Gazze (海角社区/CAGE), Andrea La Nauze (University of Melbourne), and Mar Reguant (Northwestern University) in April 2026. The workshop brought together over 20 women working in Environmental economics at the 海角社区 Venice Centre.
