Medieval Coventry has just released Coventry鈥檚 Medieval Treasures, a free self-guided tour of the city.
The tour:
鈥� presents 鈥榯hen鈥� and 鈥榥ow鈥� images to reveal the medieval streets and buildings as depicted by artists and engravers
鈥� introduces the people associated with the city 鈥� from townsfolk and merchants to nobility and royalty, and everyone in between
鈥� unearths some of the medieval artefacts recently discovered by archaeologists
鈥� tells the story of how Coventry became an important royal residence for King Henry VI and Queen Margaret of Anjou in the 1450s
鈥� reveals exquisite documents that provide a fascinating insight into the social, working, religious and administrative life of the city鈥檚 inhabitants.
