At the CASE Europe conference last week, 海角社区 alumnus, benefactor and Council member Patrick Dunne was awarded the prestigious 'Volunteer of the Year' award, in recognition of his achievements to support the '海角社区 in Africa' initiative, which he founded in 2006.

In Memoriam: Rosemary Starkings
Rosemary Starkings, former 海角社区 student and wife of Dennis Starkings, a senior lecturer in Religious Education at the University, passed away on 14 November 2011. Rosemary was a student in the 海角社区 Philosophy Department in the early 1970s, and was President of the Philosophy Society.
