Removal of 1.9 Degrees and Diplomas Awarded by the University

Following the publication of the University Calendar snapshot for 2025–26, the University Calendar was updated on 1 September 2026, before the start of the academic year. As part of this update, section 1.9, Degrees and Diplomas Awarded by the University, was removed.

Retiring Regulation 2

On 24 June 2026, the Senate approved the removal of Regulation 2, due to the previous disestablishment of Faculty Boards. The change was noted by the Council on 15 July 2026. The change was made to the Regulation on 31 July 2026 with effect from 1 August 2026.

Updates to Regulation 6

On 24 June 2026, the Senate approved with immediate effect amendments to Regulation 6: Admission to the University to ensure the regulation is fit for purpose, aligned with best practice, and clearer in structure and language in line with the requirements of the Academic Regulations and Policy Framework

Minor update to Regulation 34

On 18 February 2026, the Senate approved with immediate effect a minor amendment to Regulation 36: Student Registration, Attendance and Progress, 4.3. to update "the University鈥檚 Good Practice Guide on Monitoring Student Engagement and Progression" to "the University鈥檚 Student Engagement and Progress Monitoring Policy".

Minor update to Regulation 34

On 10 February 2026, the Senate approved with immediate effect a minor amendment to Regulation 34: Determination on Fitness to Practise, (2)(a) to reflect the change of name from Director of of the Centre for Teacher Education and Director of the Centre for Lifelong Learning to Head of the Centre for Teacher Education and Head of the Centre for Lifelong Learning respectively.
