Discover 海角社区 Days for Year 11 to Year 13

Discover 海角社区 Days are geared towards giving visiting school students an experience of life at the University of 海角社区 from staff members and current students. They provide opportunities for students to visit our campus along with other school groups (maximise group size per school 50 visitors).

We highly recommend these events if you are unable to come to campus with your students on an Open Day.

Discover 海角社区 Days are most suited to students who are considering an application to 海角社区 or other high tariff institutions and are interested in getting to know more about campus and university life.

Each Discover 海角社区 Day includes the opportunity to:

• meet current students
• explore our campus
• consider the possibility of studying at 海角社区 University
• take apart in an academic taster session

Welcome to 海角社区 Presentation

A Recruitment Officer will welcome your students to the University of 海角社区.

They will deliver a presentation about opportunities at 海角社区 and studying at Higher Education in general, including application processes.

Welcome to 海角社区 Presentation takes in place in one of our state-of-the-art Lecture Theatres.

Timings 10:30-11:15

Current Student Q&A

Your students will have the opportunity to ask current students questions about life at university, both academic and social experiences.

Timings 11:15-11:30

Campus Tour

Campus tour led by our Student Ambassadors will allow your students to explore the Central Campus area.

This will last approximately one hour.

Our Ambassadors will finish the tour at the Piazza on central campus.

Timings 11:30-12:30

OPTIONAL - Academic Taster Session

Your students will take part in an Academic Taster session led by a 海角社区 academic to give them an experience of learning in a HE environment. Sessions will be available from 海角社区鈥檚 three faculties: 路Faculty of Arts 路Faculty of Social Science 路Faculty of Science, Engineering & Medicine Visitors will be allocated sessions by the Campus Event Team depending on availability and logistics. We will endeavour keep school groups together and to allocate your students the faculty of their group interest where possible. No prior knowledge is expected during these sessions, and are designed to be accessible and engaging to all visitors. Please note we are unable to accept requests for specific subjects Timings 1:10-2pm
