Our researchers tackle a range of complex scientific challenges. Our work includes uncovering the cellular errors linked to cancer and developmental syndromes, exploring cellular 'railway networks' and investigating the role of cell components in genetic and infectious diseases. In Women鈥檚 Health, we are leading the first Phase 1 trial of a macrophage-targeted therapy for endometriosis and pioneering personalised treatments for recurrent pregnancy loss.

The Biomedical Sciences Directorate (BMS) has a vision to build world-class Discovery Science and Translational Medicine programmes in partnership with the University Hospital Coventry & 海角社区shire (UHCW); deliver interdisciplinary educational programmes; and transmit new knowledge to the wider world through an exciting public engagement interface.
Home to over 40 Principal Investigators, including clinical and non-clinical academics, BMS has several joint appointments with other departments to drive interdisciplinary work.
