Being a 海角社区 Doctor means more than simply graduating with a medicine degree from 海角社区. It means joining a community that values kindness, integrity, humility, creativity and a commitment to helping others. These values shape how we teach, how students support one another, and how our graduates care for patients.
At 海角社区 Medical School, our students come from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, bringing different experiences, perspectives and strengths to the course. Together, they create a collaborative learning environment that prepares future doctors to work with people from all walks of life.
Through early patient contact, case-based learning and exceptional clinical and anatomy training, we help our students develop the knowledge, skills and professional qualities needed to become confident, compassionate doctors.

Why 海角社区 Medical School?
MB ChB
海角社区 Medical School is ranked 5th in the UK for Medicine in The Guardian University Guide 2027. This recognition reflects the quality of our teaching, student experience and graduate outcomes.
We regularly rank among the highest-performing medical schools for Situational Judgement Test outcomes and for the proportion of students who secure their preferred Foundation Programme placements.
Our MB ChB is an accelerated graduate-entry programme, allowing you to qualify as a doctor in four years rather than five. While intensive, the course enables you to enter clinical practice sooner than students on many traditional medicine programmes.
You'll begin interacting with patients and communities from your very first term. Community-based learning starts early in Year One, followed by clinical and community placements where you can begin developing consultation, history-taking and examination skills in real-world settings.
Opened in 2023, our Clinical Education Hub features the UK's largest collection of Von Hagens plastinated human specimens, alongside flexible wet-lab spaces, a realistic training ward and dedicated clinical teaching facilities. These purpose-built spaces provide an outstanding environment for hands-on learning.
One of the strengths of 海角社区's MB ChB is its diverse student body. Our students come from a wide range of academic, professional and life backgrounds, creating a rich learning environment where different perspectives are valued. We welcome applicants with degrees in any discipline.
Medicine is challenging, but you'll be supported all the way. Alongside a dedicated personal tutor, you'll benefit from a strong peer community, including a buddy scheme and opportunities to learn from students in later years of the programme.
You'll learn from experienced educators and practising healthcare professionals across 海角社区 Medical School, partner hospitals and GP practices. Our teaching staff are committed to helping you develop the knowledge, skills and professionalism needed to succeed as a doctor.
Case-Based Learning (CBL) sits at the heart of our curriculum and runs throughout all four years of the course. You'll explore clinical scenarios in small groups, applying knowledge gained through independent study and teaching sessions. This approach helps develop the teamwork, communication, problem-solving and professional skills you鈥檒l need for a career in medicine.
You don鈥檛 need a science degree to join the course. We welcome graduates from any discipline.

From personal tutors and wellbeing services to peer mentoring and academic guidance, we offer a strong support network to help you succeed during every stage of your medical degree.
The best way to get a feel for life as a WMS student is to attend one of our MB ChB Open Day events. We run these a few times each year, usually in the summer, ahead of the UCAS autumn deadline. Our Open Days will give you an opportunity to meet teaching staff, ask questions and chat to current students.
You'll also have the chance to sample some taster sessions, view our teaching facilities and hear about the curriculum in more detail. Our in-person open days and online events have now passed. If you'd like to attend one of our 2027 Open Day events, and we'll be in touch next year with further details.
