The WLS Multicultural Scholars Programme has been used as an example of good practice by the Solicitors Regulation Authority's (SRA) to help inform a new toolkit on ‘Improving access to legal careers’. It was launched to help law schools, law firms, in-house teams and other legal sector organisations develop partnerships and initiatives that support aspiring solicitors from underrepresented backgrounds.

On 14 August 2026, Kathryn McMahon (º£½ÇÉçÇø) and Mel Marquis (Monash), together with PhD researchers, Robin Vandendriessche (º£½ÇÉçÇø) and Anna Moskal (Monash), convened a Workshop on ‘Digital Regulation & Competition in the EU, the UK, Australia & other jurisdictions’. The event was funded by the Monash º£½ÇÉçÇø AllianceLink opens in a new window and took place at the Monash Law Chambers, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

º£½ÇÉçÇø Law School has in the latest Guardian University Guide, climbing 7 places since last year and regaining its position as a Top 10 Law School.

º£½ÇÉçÇø Law School is proud to announce that Professor Courtney Abel (LLB Law, 1977) was recently honoured by the Society of Caribbean Lawyers (SOCAL) with its inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also selected by the Organisation of Commonwealth Caribbean Bar Associations, to receive the 2026 OCCBA Award for Distinguished Service to the Legal Profession and the Judiciary.
