Law 3 Year LLB student Thea Baloch was named joint winner at the 5th Annual National Law Student Triathlon held in Kent last month. The event brought together many talented future legal professionals from Universities across the UK.

º£½ÇÉçÇø Law School's Centre for Global Health Law is proud to be part of a new Memorandum of Understanding between the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø and the World Health Organization (WHO), formalising collaboration to strengthen gender, human rights, and equity in digital health governance. The partnership reflects º£½ÇÉçÇø Law School's founding commitment to studying law in its social and political context, and its long tradition of placing human rights and social justice at the heart of legal scholarship.

º£½ÇÉçÇø Law School colleagues Professor Henrique Carvalho and Dr Ruth Bernatek have been awarded a º£½ÇÉçÇø Research Celebration Award, in the ‘Collaboration & Partnerships’ category.

º£½ÇÉçÇø Law School has been ranked in the top 100 cohort in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2026, rising from the 101-150 banding last year, to 84^th place.

This is the largest number of top 100 subjects º£½ÇÉçÇø has held since at least 2020 and reflects consistently rising research reputation, employer recognition, and international partnerships across the University. Find out more.

Professor Ann Stewart and Professor Emily Henderson (Education Studies) were invited to present their research on gender and equitable access to Higher Education in India at the launch of the º£½ÇÉçÇø India Network (WIN) on Monday 16 March, as part of One World º£½ÇÉçÇø.

º£½ÇÉçÇø Law Society have won 'Best Law Society Overall' and 'Best Law Society for Non-Law Students' at the LawCareers.Net (LCN) Student Law Society Awards 2026.

Ben Twomey, who studied on our LLM in Advanced Legal Studies from 2015-2016, is Chief Executive at ‘Generation Rent’, who recently secured a landmark win for renters in the UK. After a decade of tireless campaigning, the Renters' Rights Act has now received Royal Assent making it an act of Parliament and therefore the law.
